Sharing Protocols

The Sharing Protocols page allows you to enable, disable, stop, or configure relevant network protocols. The Sharing Protocol page displays the Object/Task Selector with the following columns for each protocol available on the server:

Name—Lists each protocol by name. To enable, disable, or change the properties of a given protocol, select the button next to the protocol you want to modify.
Status—Indicates that the protocol is Running, Stopped, or Paused.
Startup Type—Indicates whether the protocol should start automatically when the server boots, be invoked manually, or be disabled.
Description—Displays a brief description of the protocol.
The Tasks list is located next to the Object/Task Selector. Use the Name column of the Object/Task Selector to select a protocol. To perform a task, choose the appropriate task from the Tasks list.
