Setting FTP Sharing Properties
Use this page to specify which FTP clients are granted access to each share. Access can be granted or denied on the basis of client host name.
To allow clients permission to an FTP share
- On the primary navigation bar, choose Shares.
- On the Shares page, choose Shares.
- Select the share for which you want to add FTP client access, and then choose Properties.
- On the General tab of the Properties page, select the FTP checkbox.
- Select the FTP tab, and then:
- Select the Read check box to allow read access.
- or -
- Select the Write check box to allow write access.
You may choose to allow read-only, write-only, or read/write permissions.
- Choose OK.
To log client visits to an FTP share
- On the primary navigation bar, choose Shares.
- On the Shares page, choose Shares.
- Select the share for which you want to add FTP client access, and then choose Properties.
- Select the FTP Sharing tab.
- Select the Log visits check box.
- Choose OK.
